MÜNTER IMPRESSIVE IN FIRST OPEN WHEEL TEST - LICENSED FOR INDY PRO
Sparta, KY (May 16, 2007) Leilani Münter earned her Indy Pro Series license on Monday when she tested an open wheel
car for the first time. Münter quickly adjusted to her new race car and got up to speed turning consistent lap times
in the 28 second range. Her best lap time of 28.75 was an average speed of 185.32 mph on the 1.48 mile race track.
"Leilani did a great job testing the Indy Pro Series car," said Indy Pro Series Technical/Race Director Butch Meyer,"I was very impressed with how quickly
she got up to speed and with the feedback she gave the team. She had a real good feel for the car. She will be a very tough competitor in the Indy Pro
Series."
The test was organized by IndyCar team owner Larry Cahill, who ran an IRL team from 1998-2002. Two-time Indianapolis 500 championship crew chief and
Indianapolis 500 Hall of Famer Peter Parrott fielded the car for Mr. Cahill out of Speedworks Racing.
"Leilani was very impressive today, particularly as this was her first time in an open wheel car," said Peter Parrott, president, SpeedWorks Racing.
"She adapted to the track quickly and once she found her line, was very consistent throughout the entire test. We put a lot of downforce on the car,
but she intuitively knew how to find all the speed possible in that setup. She did an excellent job."
"I didn’t know what to expect because I had never driven an Indy Pro car before. I really enjoyed driving it, they are incredibly fun cars to drive,"
said Münter, "I am really looking forward to competing in the Indy Pro Series."

After Indianapolis, Münter plans to enter four remaining oval track races in Indy Pro Series schedule including Iowa Speedway on June 23,
Nashville Superspeedway on July 14, Kentucky Speedway on Aug 11, and Chicagoland on Sept 9.
