BETTENHAUSEN CLASSIC PREVIEW
Schererville, IN (September 15, 2006) Leilani is looking forward to meeting lots of her supporters
from Konica Minolta tomorrow, although she is coming into the race facing quite a challenge.
"Unfortunately we are going to a race with a crate motor trying to run against built motors. Basically that
means we will be about 100 horsepower off most of the cars there, if not more. So while I am not looking forward
to that aspect of tomorrow, I am looking forward to seeing all my friends from Konica Minolta."
If Leilani were to make the field for the Bettenhausen, she would be the first ever woman in the 45 year history
of the race to make it.
"I wish we were coming armed with a bigger motor," said Leilani, "But I am going to do my very best with what
we've got, that's all I can do. In any case, I am going to have fun."
