MÜNTER 4TH IN HEAT AND 11TH IN MAIN AT ILLIANA
Schererville, IN (September 2, 2006) - Leilani Münter had a good night at Illiana Motor Speedway on Saturday. She finished
4th in her heat race and 11th in the main event. With Butch Miller taking over crew chief duties from Deon Deneau (starting
Friday night at Hawkeye Downs) Münter is getting some driving lessons from the short track veteran.
"I learned a lot from Butch last night at Hawkeye Downs and was able to apply that to how I drive here at Illiana. I have been getting in the throttle
too early in the corners, not letting it roll through the center of the corner long enough. As soon as I started to let it roll a bit longer, the tight condition in the car went away and I
was able to get on the throttle a lot harder coming off the corner and I picked up a lot of time. With over 400 wins under his belt, Butch is a short track legend,
and as a rookie, it's pretty cool to be learning how to race from him. I'm very lucky to have him on my team."
