BUTCH MILLER TAKES OVER CREW CHIEF POSITION FOR MÜNTER
Cedar Rapids, IA (September 1, 2006) - Veteran short track racer Butch Miller will take over
crew chief position from Deon Deneau on the No. 57 Konica Minolta race car of Leilani Münter for the remainder of the
2006 racing season. With over 400 victories, Butch Miller is a short track racing legend.
Butch Miller is the ultimate veteran. He is a three-time ASA National Champion (tied for second-most in ASA
with Winston Cup driver Mark Martin), ranks third on the all-time ASA wins list (50), first on the all-time
poles list (51) and second on the all-time laps led list (over 10,000). Miller has competed in NASCAR's Winston
Cup & Busch Series as well as NASCAR's Craftsman Truck Series where he was victorious several times. Miller will
race for SS Racing in 2006 in addition to being a mentor and coach for developmental driver Leilani Münter.
"I am very excited to work with Butch Miller. Obviously he is just and incredible driver, a legend of short track
racing, and to be able to learn from someone with his incredible level of success is quite an honor. He is also a
really nice person. I am looking forward to learning as much as I can from him. I feel like I am the luckiest driver in the garage to have him on my team.
