MÜNTER FINISHES 15TH AT SOUTHERN NATIONAL SPEEDWAY
Kenly, NC (June 3, 2006) - Leilani Münter struggled at Southern National Speedway this weekend, starting 18th and finishing 15th. The race
car is in one piece and Münter will now head to Texas Motor Speedway for the USRA Super Late Model Konica Minolta 100. Münter holds the record
for the highest qualifying effort for a female driver at the track, where she qualified 4th in 2004.
"I had a bad night," said Münter, "I am looking forward to Texas where I can get back on a big speedway. That is the kind of racetrack I really enjoy racing on."
Leilani ran a tribute on her race car to family friend and Grateful Dead keyboardist Vince Welnick, who commited suicide on Friday, June 2.
