TURBULENCE URBAN WEAR LAUNCHES, OFFERS LEILANI MERCHANDISE ALONGSIDE "URBAN NASCAR CLOTHING"

Mooresville, NC (Aug 16,2005) Leilani Munter has signed the new t-shirt company Turbulence Urban Wear as a sponsor.

Turbulence was started with the new breed of Stock Car Racing Fan in mind – The Urban NASCAR fan. Stock car racing is America’s Fastest growing spectator sport, no longer is it solely the domain of the moonshine smugglin’ good ole southern man. Nope – NASCAR is going mainstream. And Turbulence is taking the style with it.

Auto Racing is entering a new era, corporate America is stepping in. No longer are the women involved in racing just the trophy girls, now they are the drivers, and females now make up almost half of the crowds –and thankfully, now the t-shirts no longer have to include every color in the rainbow!

Turbulence is pleased to align itself with a driver who personifies this new era, Leilani Münter. Leilani is a little different than your traditional stock car driver, she was born and raised in Minnesota, earned a degree in Biology at the University of California in San Diego, and is currently seeking sponsorship for the ARCA ReMax series. – Learn more about Leilani on her official website LeilaniMünter.com.

"I grew up in Minnesota and started racing while living in Southern California. NASCAR is not just a southern sport, big city America is watching too. Turbulence Urban Wear has fun clothing with a sense of humor and that really fits my style."

Münter has aligned herself with a top quality Nextel Cup team to field her in the ARCA Series in 2006.

"We are not announcing who the team is until we finalize our race schedule and sponsors," said Leilani, "but what I will say is that this is a top quality, cream-of-the-crop, championship NASCAR Nextel Cup team. They run up front, they win races, they are great people with great equipment. It is an honor to be working with them and I can't wait to go racing with them. This is an incredible opportunity for me."

In addition to pursuing her racing career, Leilani works as a special correspondent for NASCAR.com where her "Leilani Reports" streaming video clips appear every Wednesday. She is also an instructor for Fast Track High Performance Racing School and hosting a new car care television series "Auto Primer," which will begin to air in September on the DIY Network.
